Professor Phillips is the Founder and CEO of Uscom, a medical technology company specialising in innovative, non-invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary technologies designed to transform clinical care. Its principal technologies include the USCOM 1A, BP+ and SpiroSonic devices.

He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland’s Institute for Molecular Bioscience, an internationally published author and lecturer in cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine, and a recognised global MedTech leader. He established one of the world’s first fully digital echocardiography and ultrasound facilities and has developed several medical devices that have been adopted internationally.

Professor Phillips is named on more than 70 international medical patents. He was a finalist in the World Technology Awards for Health and Medicine for developing technologies considered capable of transforming global medicine. He has also received medical innovation awards from Johnson & Johnson, Frost & Sullivan and Global Entropolis.

With 20 years of experience leading an ASX-listed global MedTech company, Professor Phillips has conceived and executed the acquisition and integration of two international cardiovascular and pulmonary medical-device businesses. He also has extensive experience raising capital to support MedTech innovation.
