Hongwei Li is an M&A Partner at Ernst & Young China, specialising in cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Over the past decade, he has advised Chinese clients on acquisitions of Australian assets and Australian clients on divestments to Chinese buyers.
Before relocating to Beijing in 2013, Hongwei worked at Access Capital Advisers, now Patrizia Infrastructure, in Canberra. In this role, he advised leading Australian superannuation funds on their investment strategies.
Hongwei holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies from the Australian National University. He began his career as a Financial Analyst at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), where he monitored the capital positions of Australian financial institutions during the Global Financial Crisis.
