Russell Brown OBE is the Founder and Managing Partner of LehmanBrown International Accountants, a China-focused accounting, taxation and business advisory firm with operations in Beijing, Hong Kong and five other offices across China, employing approximately 200 professionals. Russell has more than 28 years of professional experience, including 20 years living and working in China, where he has been closely involved in establishing and developing businesses. Before founding LehmanBrown, he served as Global Chief Financial Officer of one of the world’s largest public relations and communications consulting firms, having previously held the position of Asia-Pacific Regional Chief Financial Officer.
Russell holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Bournemouth University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He previously served as Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China and as Vice-Chair of the China-Britain Business Council, completing the maximum terms permitted. He has also held the positions of Vice-Chair and Treasurer.
In June 2015, Russell was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for his services to British business and the British community in China.
