Ian Tang, together with partners from Australia and Hong Kong, founded 123 AustChina Education Consultancy (Beijing) Co. Ltd. The company specialises in early childhood education, with a particular focus on the operation of and investment in international-standard kindergartens across China. The 123 Group has strong Australian roots, having previously collaborated with ABC Learning Centres, once the world’s largest childcare provider. The Group is chaired by the Honourable Mark Vaile AO, former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia.
Before assuming his current executive roles, Ian served as Executive Director and Vice President of Power Tong, an IT start-up. Prior to this, he spent several years as a Director of a Sino-American joint venture in the consumer goods industry. Ian also serves as Honorary Chairman of the Australian Chamber of Commerce–Fujian and the Xiamen Australian Investment Association.
