A Milestone for Australia–China Educational Collaboration: QUT and DUT Launch Joint Engineering School
澳中教育合作里程碑：昆士兰科技大学与大连理工大学联合学院正式启动
AustCham China warmly congratulates our member, the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), on the official launch of the Queensland Technology International School of Engineering at Dalian University of Technology (DUT) in June 2026.
中国澳大利亚商会热烈祝贺会员单位昆士兰科技大学（QUT） 与大连理工大学（DUT） 合作设立的昆士兰科技国际工程学院于2026年6月正式启动。
This initiative, approved by China’s Ministry of Education, represents a genuine milestone in Australia–China educational and research collaboration.
该学院已获中国教育部批准，标志着澳中两国在教育与科研合作领域迈出了坚实的一步。
Why this partnership matters
为什么这一合作很重要
The School is QUT’s first transnational education institute established with a Chinese “985” / “Double First Class” university. It builds on QUT’s internationally accredited (Washington Accord) engineering programs to help cultivate the next generation of globally minded engineers and innovators.
该学院是昆士兰科技大学首个与中国“985工程”暨“双一流”高校共建的跨国教育机构，依托昆士兰科技大学通过《华盛顿协议》获得国际认证的工程教育体系，致力于培养具有全球视野的新一代工程人才与创新者。
Welcoming its first students across Medical Engineering and Computer & Software Systems Engineering, the institute represents a deep, enduring partnership between two leading universities for the benefit of both countries.
学院首批将招收医学工程、计算机与软件系统工程专业的学生，是两所优秀高校携手共建、造福两国人民的深度长远合作典范。
AustCham China Chair Vaughn Barber was pleased to support the initiative, including through a congratulatory message marking the launch.
