On the 5th of November AustCham Beijing and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) held an E-Commerce Forum, focusing on the best practices of E-Commerce in China. Speakers included Bryan Carr the Managing Director of SmartTrans, Allen Qu the CEO & Founder of Netconcepts and Pablo Gracia managing director of Eibens. The event was moderated by Timothy Coghlan, Associate Director of Luxury Retail with Savills.
The event was attended by both students and industry personnel alike, with topics within E-Commerce ranging from market entry, platform selection, market potential and country specific options. During the Q&A discussion after the forum, the speakers fielded questions in regards to bitcoin changing the e-commerce industry in China, how to attract Chinese consumers while they are aboard as well as issues regarding overseas payment security.
