On Saturday 6th November, more than 300 students, accompanied by their family and friends celebrated their graduation from Australian universities at a special celebration held at the Four Seasons Hotel. The celebration was organised by AustCham China, supported by the Australian Consulate General Guangzhou, and proudly sponsored by Investment NSW. The occasion provided Chinese students from Australian Universities with the graduation celebration they deserve after achieving such a significant milestone in life. Mr Michael Sadleir, Australian Consul-General in Guangzhou delivered a welcome and congratulatory speech, followed shortly after by Mr Vaughn Barber, AustCham China Chair, who congratulated the scholars via video speech; Dr Geoff Lee, Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education, New South Wales Government as well as representatives of universities also extended their congratulations via video; and, Ms Christine Tang, Business Development Manager South China, Destination NSW praised students on their academic achievements. The celebration was complemented by a group photo, live musical band and lucky draw capping off a night full of joy and excitement.
