Last Sunday, April 25rd, the ANZAC day dawn service was held at the Australian embassy. The date marks the anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand soldiers – the ANZACs – on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915.
The aim of the event is to commemorate Australians and New Zealanders killed in war and honours returned and serving servicemen and women. In total, 281 Australians, New Zealanders and international representatives attended the ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2021, including 108 VIP guests – Ambassadors (or their representatives) and Defence/Military Attaches from 29 countries.
