Yesterday, AustCham hosted a lunch at Beersmith for our live streaming of the Melbourne Cup. With exquisite fascinators, delicious lunch specials, and a specially brewed Australian pilsner, it was a great way to celebrate an Aussie spring classic!
Thanks to the team at Beersmith and Hotel Jen, and for all those that came along yesterday.
We also wish a big congratulations to our all-Australian team for taking home the cup at this year’s race!

Starting at 11am with barrier fall at 12noon, we’ll be enjoying an a-la carte lunch at Guomao’s favourite brewpub, Beersmith, by Hotel Jen. Wash down your meal with an Australian Pilsner brewed beer, made using home-grown Victorian hops, then cheer on a winner with the event live-streamed for your viewing pleasure throughout the day.
Featuring bespoke Melbourne Cup beer and great meals, bring your fascinator and come dressed in your best spring racing fashion to get in the spirit of things – prizes will be given for best dressed in Beijing’s very own Fashions on the Field.
