On November 30, AustCham Beijing and KPMG will host an update on Government Incentive Opportunities for Australian Enterprises in China.

Alan Garcia is KPMG’s Leader, R&D Centre of Excellence, China and Asia Pacific Regional R&D Leader.

Alan has 19 years’ R&D consulting experience specialising in preparing and reviewing incentive applications from a science, engineering and tax/legal perspective. Alan is well versed in identifying eligible R&D activities and expenditure, including understanding IP issues, transfer pricing, cross-charge/reimbursement and associated financial risk. Alan and his team regularly deal with Chinese SAT / STB / MOF officials regarding interpretation of R&D incentive rules and policies.

 


AustCham would like to thank the speakers, Alan Garcia from KPMG Australia and Liang Wu from KPMG China. Both speakers gave detailed insights into the tax incentives offered by the Chinese Government to enterprises engaged in product improvement and process development. Both speakers explained the importance of the 150% Super Deduction and how it could lead to significant benefits for businesses eligible for the incentive. Both Alan and Liang elaborated on the eligibility criteria, which projects qualified and how different businesses could access this government incentive to derive greater value and tax savings to their businesses.
