Post Event Update:
Thank you to all of our mentors and mentees for attending the Mentor Walks at Capital M! Outstanding mentors came from a diverse range of fields including journalism, law, finance, business development, academia, entrepreneurship, government relations and professional coaching. During the session, mentors shared their insights and conversed with an equally diverse and enthusiastic group of mentees. The event was a success with positive feedback from both mentors and mentees in attendance.

About Mentor Walks:
The Beijing Mentor Walks started in 2013. This year’s participating organisations include Capital M, AmCham, AustCham and the Australian Embassy in Beijing, BritCham, VIVA and the Beijing Women Network.
Mentor Walks bring together established women leaders and emerging women leaders in our community to connect, learn, mentor and share experiences. As they walk, they discuss their professional and personal challenges, successes, aspirations, and lessons learned.
Whether there are senior executives, thought leaders, or business owners, mentors in the series are trail blazers in their fields and have broken glass ceilings to achieve their success, whether in China or abroad.
Each walk gives mentors opportunities to connect with a group of mentees to share their experiences, discuss personal and professional successes, challenges and long term goals.

Cost: We are asking for a 100 RMB donation to help build a new Mentor Walks website and to support the charity Educating Girls of Rural China.

Please note that spaces are limited. If you register and are unable to attend the Mentor Walk, please inform us at least one day in advance of the scheduled Mentor Walk at the contact details provided in your confirmation email. We understand that emergencies happen, however, if you register and fail to attend a Mentor Walk without notice on two occasions, you will be unable to participate in future Mentor Walks.

About the speaker:
Clare Pearson is the International Development Director, Asia at DLA Piper. She is also the Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce, China.
At DLA Piper her role involves acting as a liaison between international boards, creating global strategy documents and enabling cross-selling of clients between offices. As a Pro-Bono Counsel for the firm she has advised Charitable Business Trusts and many global NGOs such as the Clinton Foundation and Mercy Corps on their operations in China.
As the Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China, Clare works closely with the British Embassy to facilitate the Sino-UK business relationship. She also sits on the Board of the China Britain Business Council as Vice-Chair in London. She has lived in China for twelve years.
