The GO8 recruitment platform was launched successfully!
We were delighted to have H.E. Ms Jan Adams AO PSM, Australian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, to give an opening speech at the event. Other featured speakers included Vicki Thomson, CEO of the Group of Eight, Louis Li, Deputy General Manager of JD Worldwide at JD.com and Tracy Colgan, AustCham Beijing Chair, Nick Coyle, AustCham Beijing CEO and Jenny Wang, Chief China Representative at CPA.
A panel moderated by Cheng Lei, Anchor for CCTV News Global Business featured a discussion on the value added by “Haigui” (Chinese graduates of foreign universities who returned to China) to the workforce with their enhanced soft skills and global outlook, as well as their important role in bridging between the Australia-China business community.

This event will mark the official launch of AustCham’s new online recruitment platform, Aozhouhaigui.com. In Chinese, “AoZhou” means “Australia” and “HaiGui” refers to Chinese graduates of foreign universities who return to China to work.
Aozhouhaigui.com is an innovative HR portal connecting high quality, bilingual graduates exclusively from the Group of Eight (“Go8” – Australia’s eight leading research universities) universities with a network of over 50,000+ leading employers in China, comprising of member companies from AustCham Beijing, South China, West China, Bohai and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC).
On Aozhouhaigui.com, graduates simply create a profile, list qualifications and select their employment preferences. Companies can search for candidates that meet their personnel requirements and initiate a conversation about job opportunities. The platform is free to use for Go8 graduates and students, as well as CCOIC and AustCham member companies.
