Event Overview:
AustCham Beijing, in partnership with Chance & Bridge Partners and Foreign Enterprises Services Corporation (FESCO) will hold an information and roundtable session on the PRC Disabled Persons Security Law.

On 9th September, 2015, the PRC Disabled Persons Security Law was updated by the The Methods on Levying, Use and Management of Disabled Persons’ Employment Security Fund to strengthen implementation.

However the effect of the change was not felt by enterprises until late 2016, when liability to pay a new amount to the Disabled Persons’ Employment Security Fund was enforced.

The new methods outline an amended way to calculate the amount an enterprise is liable to pay, considerably increasing the costs for enterprises – particularly impacting those that pay higher salaries than the national average or small enterprises.

Come along to discuss best practice, options available and the implications for business. Elsa Song and Tommy Liu from FESCO will outline the various options and opportunities to reduce costs, and a representative from Chance & Bridge Lawyers will provide an overview of the legal obligations.

Agenda:
14:30 – 15:00: Registration, Coffee and Tea
15:00 – 15:15: Presentation – Chance Bridge lawyers
15:15 – 15:45: Presentation – Elsa Song, Business development manager and Tommy Liu, DEP Department project manager from FESCO.
