Event Recap | Breakfast with the South Australian Premier

On Tuesday, October 22nd, AustCham had the honour of hosting a breakfast for the Premier of South Australia, The Hon. Steven Marshall MP. A variety of guests were invited to attend the breakfast at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, including Ambassador-designate to the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Graham Fletcher. At the event, the Premier addressed the bi-lateral relationship between South Australia and China.
During his speech, the Premier spoke of the ever-growing relationship between South Australia and China. He discussed many factors that positively contribute to this relationship such as South Australia’s unique tourism sector, high-quality education, and wine industry.
Guests were then given the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, during which the Premier was able to highlight the importance of cultural exchanges between Australia and China, such as the introduction of AFL in China.
