The Board of the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brendan Mason to the position of Managing Director.
An experienced CEO, Manager and Non-Executive Director, Brendan is well known to the Australian business community in China having previously served on the board of AustCham including as Chair and Treasurer, and as General Manager, Greater China and Mongolia for Cochlear for seven years until September 2014.
As we emerge from an extended period when epidemic control and prevention measures have impacted the business operations of the Chamber, Brendan is an ideal candidate to work with the board and the secretariat to grow the Chamber and help members capitalise on new opportunities as bilateral relations between China and Australia improve.
Between now and his start date of 1 September, Brendan will be working with the board to agree priorities for the coming six months. Brendan is looking forward to meeting members and other stakeholders once he is on board.
