Victoria Trade and Investment Chengdu Office
The Victorian Government Business Office in Chengdu is one of five offices representing the Victorian State Government in China (our other offices are in Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Hong Kong). Our Deputy Commissioner for Greater China is based in the Chengdu office, along with trade and investment, education and admin support staff, supporting the growing opportunities in the SW China region.
The Victorian Government has been actively promoting trade and investment with China for more than 100 years. Today Victoria has the world’s largest provincial level network of trade and investment offices. Sichuan province recently established a sister-state relationship with Victoria (in 2016).
The Victorian Government Business Office international network underpins Victoria’s offshore investment attraction and trade promotion operations, supports government and business engagement between Victoria and the market and coordinates Ministerial visits to the country. We focus on supporting two-way trade and investment in priority sectors such as health (including aged care), medtech and pharmaceuticals, education, food and fibre, tourism, e-commerce and the emerging digital economy, agribusiness, new energy technologies and professional services.
