Newcastle Airport is the gateway to Australia’s Hunter region and is the second gateway into New South Wales.
The Airport contributes more than $1 billion annually to the New South Wales economy. The airport is served by all the major Australian domestic carriers and has an annual passenger throughput of 1.2 million.
In 2015 a major terminal redevelopment was completed to meet the continued passenger demand. The Airport is owned by shareholders Newcastle City Council and Port Stephens Council and governed by an independent board of directors.
