Mr. Taylor is presently CEO of Sino Gas and Energy Pty. Ltd. located in Beijing, China.
Sino Gas and Energy’s strategic purpose is to be a leading independent producer of unconventional natural gas in China in service to the country’s goal to reduce carbon emissions while meeting its growing energy needs.
Before joining Sino Gas and Energy in 2019 Mr. Taylor worked at Halliburton Energy Services as their global Sr. Vice President of Consulting and Project Management product service line (CPM). CPM was designed to provide customers with customized integrated services in geothermal, crude oil and natural gas project development and asset management.
Mr. Taylor previously worked at ConocoPhillips where he began his career in 1980 as a petroleum engineer. Throughout his 35 years with the company he held a variety of engineering, operational, commercial and management positions in Australia, Norway and the U.S. and served as ConocoPhillips’ country President in Canada, Indonesia and China. He was responsible for planning, design and execution of major onshore and offshore oil and gas project developments.
Mr. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and he has been a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers for more than 40 years.
