Rex joined AustCham China’s secretariat as CEO in February 2023.

A Chinese-born Australian, Rex has worked in China since 2000 in the news media, business communication and event management. For two decades, Rex managed a language services firm offering interpretation, translation and other communication services in diplomatic, business, and legal settings, and gained broad and deep exposure to political and business engagement between China and Western countries – Australia in particular.

As CEO, Rex is leveraging his skills, experience, and background to enhance AustCham China’s capabilities and help members identify and capitalise on new opportunities in China.
