China recently introduced a major update to its visa-free transit policy, extending the permitted stay for eligible foreign travelers from the original 72 and 144 hours to 240 hours, or 10 days. The policy also increases the number of designated ports to 60 across 24 provinces, simplifying travel for citizens from 54 countries, including Australia.
近日,中国全面放宽优化了过境政策免签政策,将过境免签外国人在境内停留时间由原72小时和144小时延长为240小时(10天)。新政策还新增了21个入境口岸,目前共有60个口岸覆盖全国24个省市,简化了包括澳大利亚在内的54个国家旅客的入境手续。
Vaughn Barber, Chairman of AustCham China, highlighted that the extension not only facilitates short-term business visits for business – such as meetings, site inspections, and relationship-building. but also opens the door for more Australians to come and experience China for themselves.welcomed the policy as a “welcome and practical development”.
中国澳大利亚商会会长冯栢文(Vaughn Barber)表示,新政策不仅方便了短期商务访问,如会议、实地考察和关系建立,还为更多澳大利亚人亲身感受中国打开了大门。
“This opportunity to see the reality of life in China as the saying goes ‘Bai Wen Bu Ru Yi Jian’ (seeing is believing), will help foster greater understanding, encourage people-to-people connections, and strengthen the ties that underpin both tourism and business engagement between our two countries.” Barber said.
他强调道:“俗话说‘百闻不如一见’,这个接触中国现实生活的机会将有助于增进了解,鼓励民间交流,加强两国旅游和商业往来。”
