Yesterday evening, AustCham China supported the launch of Great Game On, a new book by former Australian Ambassador to China, Dr. Geoff Raby AO, at JinshangYuan. The event, hosted by the Royal Asiatic Society of Beijing (RASBJ), featured an engaging conversation between Dr. Raby and BBC Correspondent to China, Stephen McDonell.
In his conversation with Mr. McDonell, Dr. Raby shared insights from his book. He took the audience on a journey through Eurasia, drawing on both his analysis of geopolitical forces and personal travel stories woven into the fabric of his narrative.
Attendees were captivated by Dr. Raby’s vivid anecdotes and comprehensive analysis, while McDonell’s thoughtful questions further enriched the discussion. Participants left with a deeper understanding of the dynamics shaping Central Asia and their global implications.
Thank you to RASBJ for organising, and to everyone who attended, and we look forward to seeing you at future events!
