POST EVENT UPDATE | Australia Visa Update

On June 5, Ms Teresa Conolan, Minister Counsellor Home Affairs and Ms Penelope Robinson, Counsellor Immigration from the Australian Embassy Beijing gave an informative update on the status of the Australian visa acquisition process.
The pair prioritised early application, checking global visa processing times, and ensuring that all necessary document requirements are met in regards to visa submission. Attendees were able to engage in a Q&A after the in-depth presentation, which again proved useful. The group engaged in an analysis of advancements in the industry such as the Global Talent Scheme, alongside future challenges for the North Asia region.
In light of the recent Australian elections, attendees were informed about the potential developments over the next few months, and how they can adequately prepare for any sudden changes to requirements.

This event will brief immigration agents and other interested attendees on the current status and requirements for immigration and visitors to Australia. In light of the Australian Federal Election, this event will also analyse the election outcomes and offer insights on whether this will have a substantive effect on the current visa process. This event also provides an opportunity for agents to ask questions they may have about the process.
