BACKGROUND
On the morning of 17 June, Australian local time, Premier Li Qiang held the ninth round of the Annual Leaders’ Meeting with Australian Prime Minister Albanese at Parliament House in Canberra. At the meeting, Premier Li pointed out that an essential feature of the China-Australia relationship is that of mutual benefit.
CGTN host Tian Wei interviewed Vaughn Barber, Chair of China-Australia Chamber of Commerce. Vaughn comments on Premier Li and Prime Minister Albanese’s meeting, whilst providing his analysis on the future of Australia-China Relations. He emphasized that China and Australia have a sincere, mutually supportive, stable and mutually beneficial bilateral relationship. Facing the challenges of new energy and technological transformation, he called for the active participation of Australian and Chinese enterprises, with Australian companies and Chinese partners offering suggestions for future cooperation to promote common development.
