Hongwei Li

Hongwei Li is an M&A partner at Ernst & Young China, he specialises in advising clients on cross-border M&A transactions. Hongwei has advised several Chinese clients on their acquisitions of Australian assets and Australian clients on their divestments to Chinese buyers over the past decade.

Prior to relocating to Beijing in 2013, Hongwei worked at Access Capital Advisers (now Patrizia Infrastructure) in Canberra, where he advised leading Australian Superannuation funds on their investment strategies. With a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies from the Australian National University, Hongwei started his career at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) as a financial analyst monitoring the capital positions of Australian financial institutions over the Global Financial Crisis (GFC).
