On November 4, 2024, AustCham China Chair Vaughn Barber participated in the “CIIE Team Australia Networking Lunch Reception” held in Shanghai to welcome the Australian delegation to the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). 

2024年11月4日，中国澳大利亚商会会长冯栢文在上海参加了“澳大利亚代表团中国国际进口博览会午餐招待会”，以此欢迎澳大利亚代表团参加第七届中国国际进口博览会。 

Leading the Australian delegation was Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon Don Farrell, who expressed pride in supporting a record number of Australian businesses at this year’s expo as they seek new opportunities to grow and diversify their markets. Senator Farrell emphasised the significance of the CIIE as an important platform for Australian businesses to showcase their world-class goods and services to China, Australia’s largest export market. 

澳大利亚代表团由贸易和旅游部长、参议员唐·法雷尔阁下率领。他表示非常自豪今年能够支持数量创纪录的澳大利亚企业，这些企业正在寻求新的拓展多样化市场的机会。法雷尔阁下强调，进博会对于澳大利亚企业来说是一个重要的平台，他们可以在这里向中国这个最大的出口市场展示他们的世界级商品和服务。 

During the reception, Vaughn took the opportunity to speak with members and delegates to understand their plans for CIIE in advance of visiting the pavilion on Wednesday. 

在招待会上，冯栢文会长与会员和代表们进行了交谈，了解他们在进博会的计划，并为周三参观展馆做准备。 

Other dignitaries at the event included the Australian Ambassador to China, HE Mr. Scott Dewar, Austrade General Manager, Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Mr. Dominic Trindade, and Consul-General in Shanghai, Mr. John Williams.  

此外，出席活动的还有澳大利亚驻华大使吉思德阁下、澳大利亚贸易委员会中国大陆、香港和台湾地区总经理戴德明先生，以及上海总领事张威廉先生。
