Professor Phillips is the Uscom CEO and founder specialising in innovative and noninvasive cardiovascular and pulmonary technologies to revolutionise clinical care (USCOM 1A, BP+ and SpiroSonic devices).
He is an Adjunct Professor in the Institute of Molecular Bioscience at UQ and an international author and lecturer in cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine and a global MedTech leader.
He established one of the world’s first fully digital echocardiography/ultrasound facilities and has developed a number of globally adopted medical devices.
Professor Phillips has authored over 70 international medical patents. He was a finalist in The World Technology Awards in Health and Medicine sponsored by CNN, Google, Time, Science and NYSE, for development of technologies most likely to change global medicine and is a J&J and Frost and Sullivan and Global Entropolis medical innovation awardee.
Professor Phillips has 20 years experience managing an ASX listed global Medtech company, conceived and executed acquisition and integration of two global cardiovascular and pulmonary medical device companies, and has successfully raised capital for Medtech innovations.
