The Retail & E-Commerce Industry Forum aims to broadly represent the needs of AustCham China members in retail & e-commerce industry, by promoting and facilitating their business interests.


Retail & E-Commerce Industry Forum Objectives:

  • To provide a platform for members to understand how to best enter the Chinese market, to maximise the profile of Australian brands and promote business opportunities for our members and potential partners in China.
  • To increase understanding for our members on Chinese and Australian Government regulations and inform on changes.
  • To facilitate co-operation and transferal of skills, across varying medium from luxury goods to general consumer, physical retail to e-commerce and the inherent challenges they give.
  • The greater understanding of ‘Brand Australia’.

The Industry Forum consists of members from a diverse range of industries in the retail & e-commerce sector, including food brands, wine makers, wine distributors, payment system providers, digital marketers, food distributors and logistics companies.

AustCham members with interest in the Retail & E-Commerce Industry Forum in addition to visiting relevant Australian ministers, meet regularly for planning and discussion on member related industry updates, roundtable events with additional ad hoc speakers and industry fairs throughout the year. Members in this sector also benefit from initiatives such as live industry update events, industry related news talking points, online resources and white papers.
