Membership to AustCham Beijing is open to individuals and companies. AustCham Beijing's Board of Directors reserves the right to decide the appropriate membership category for each applicant. The Membership categories are:
Foundation Membership
Membership under this category is open to corporations, enterprises or institutions that fulfill the requirements for Corporate Membership and have been a Corporate Member for at least 2 years with the discretion of the Board at the time of applying. This is a Voting membership with full member benefits plus additional 'naming rights' and other benefits. Includes one Corporate Representative, and 1 additional Corporate Nominee. The annual membership fee is RMB 20000.
Corporate Membership
Membership under this category is open to corporations, enterprises or institutions with Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic ownership, management, interests, business, or other affiliations.
**All member companies can have a number of Corporate Nominees in addition to their Corporate Representative. Nominees are subject to an additional fee of RMB 2000. The annual Corporate Membership fee is RMB 6000, plus a one time application fee of RMB 830 in the first year.
Corporate Associate Membership
Membership under this category is open to corporations, enterprises or institutions which are not Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic in ownership or in management and/or have no Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic interests. This membership category is open to those who have an interest to seek business with Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic businesses and individuals. Corporate Associate Members have the same benefits as Corporate Members but are not eligible to vote or stand for election to the Board of Directors.
**All member companies can have a number of Corporate Nominees in addition to their Associate Representative. Nominees are subject to an additional fee of RMB 2000. The annual Associate Membership fee is RMB 6000, plus a one time application fee of RMB 830 in the first year.
Corporate Representative Membership
Membership under this category is open to Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic individuals who are employed by domestic Chinese entities. Corporate Representative Members have the same benefits as Corporate Members but are not eligible to vote or stand for election to the Board of Directors. The annual membership fee is RMB 6000, plus a one time application fee of RMB 830 in the first year.
**All member companies can have a number of Corporate Nominees in addition to their Corporate Representative. Nominees are subject to an additional fee of RMB 2000. The annual Corporate Representative Membership fee is RMB 6000, plus a one time application fee of RMB 830 in the first year.
Corporate Overseas Membership
Membership under this category is open to corporations, enterprises or institutions without a registered office in the P.R. China. This membership has only part Corporate Membership benefits and does not enable eligibility to stand for the Board. The annual membership fee is RMB 5000, plus a one time application fee of RMB 830 in the first year.
Individual Membership
Membership under this category is open to Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic citizens or permanent residents living in China who are not eligible for Corporate Membership. The annual membership fee is RMB 2500.
This membership category is not open to Individuals who work for an organisation which employs over 250 people internationally or has company revenue greater than AUD1,000,000.00
Young Professional Membership
Young Professional Membership is available to Australian, New Zealand or Oceanic citizens (30 years old or younger). The annual membership fee is RMB 500.
Young Professional Members are not eligible to vote or stand for election to the Board of Directors.
