WesTrac China Limited is part of WesTrac Pty Limited under the Australian Capital Equity (ACE) Group of Australia. WesTrac is the Caterpillar dealer for Western Australia, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Northern China. Established in 1989, WesTrac is one of the largest Caterpillar dealers in the world. WesTrac Equipment and its predecessor has been engaged in distributing Caterpillar products for decades and it has always been rated as one of the most successful overseas Caterpillar dealers. WesTrac China (WTC) first started operations in 2001 with the exclusive Caterpillar dealership for the provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin. Today, our branch network has extended to over 30 facilities throughout the northeast and north China, including a world-class rebuild facility in Tianjin. Current staff levels have increased to over 1,400. As a Caterpillar dealer, WesTrac China provides service and support to all industry sectors including mining, quarries, materials handling, agriculture, heavy construction, building construction, road transport, government, marine and petroleum industries. To meet the increasing requirement of high level technical workforce in China, WesTrac China initiated a training program with Heilongjiang Institute of Technology using Caterpillar's "ThinkBig" vocational training program for apprenticeship. The collaboration is the first of its kind not only among the Caterpillar dealerships in China but also in Asia Pacific region. |
